This (Virtual) training introduces methods of safe handling and introduces strategies to avoid unintentional injury in ECE. By actively participating in this training, learners will be able to describe safe handling, recognize common injuries, and name classroom management and handling strategies that can help reduce the risk of child and adult injury in the ECE setting.

This FREE (Virtual) training developed by the North Carolina Child Care Health and Safey Resource Center covers prevention of unintentional injuries in child care. Participants will learn about unintentional injury prevention and North Carolina child care rules regarding reporting if incidents occur in child care. Additionally, participants will learn how to recognize signs of when to seek emergency care after an unintentional injury has occurred in child care.

This learning event is for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR certification. This is designed to help individuals recognize and respond to an emergency and demonstrate the three emergency action steps. Proper CPR techniques will be demonstrated during the training event. Participants will also be able to identify signals of a breathing emergency. The instructors will assess knowledge gained through guided video skill practice and instructor feedback. Feedback on outcome mastery will be provided throughout the session and during the evaluation process.
